Kibera Sponsorship Programme & Butterfly Support Programme
Kibera Sponsorship (Outreach) Programme
The Kibera Sponsorship (Outreach) Programme was launched in 2007 to support children from impoverished backgrounds to remain with family members who wanted to care for them but needed help.
KCH provides education support, school fees, uniforms, supplies, transport, and other living expenses, while also offering emotional and spiritual support to the children and their families.
Many of the children in this programme are orphaned or vulnerable and live with grandparents, aunts, uncles, or guardians who are willing to care for them but face serious financial strain.
Butterfly Support Programme
The Butterfly Support Programme helps children from KCH reintegrate with family members and continue growing up in family settings with structured follow-up and care.
More than 100 children are currently supported in this programme, with numbers expected to grow as more children are successfully reintegrated with extended family.
KCH continues to support and monitor children in BSP until adulthood, recognising that growing up within a safe and loving family environment offers lasting benefits.
"If it was not for the support I got from KCH my life would have been very different. This organization was my turning point and I am now able to think of a good career. Growing up in Kibera wasn't easy. KCH has motivated me and now I know, dreams can become true, the sky is my limit."
